BLS Heartcode Renewal (Nursing) check offs are scheduled for employees of the Division of Nursing monthly. In order to renew your BLS, Nursing Education offers the Heartcode BLS course which is a blended format renewal of completing the online didactic Heartcode BLS course followed by an In Person hands on Skills check off with an AHA certified Instructor.

All employees outside of the Division of Nursing may schedule BLS renewals with an AHA instructor within CNH ( instructor list can found via the AHA page on the intranet), with the Transport Medicine Team or outside of the organization. The course offered through TM is "Heartcode BLS CPR-Non Nursing."

This course is for anyone who needs CPR that isn't eligible to receive a keycode and skills validation through Children's National Nursing Education. The cost of the course covers a keycode and skills validation. The course link with embedded keycode is sent as part of your confirmation email.
