Description:

Designed to aid the pediatric healthcare provider in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently and effectively manage critically ill infants and children, resulting in improved outcomes.

Audience:

For pediatricians, emergency physicians, family physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare providers who initiate and direct advanced life support in pediatric emergencies.  Course description provided by American Heart Association®

WHAT YOU MUST BRING TO CLASS:

• The PALS Precourse assessment, located at https://elearning.heart.org/course/1538. YOU MUST BRING A COPY OF YOUR PRE COURSE WORK COMPELETION CERTIFICATE TO CLASS. If you cannot print your results, send a screenshot to PALSProgram@childrensnational.org. Those without a copy of the completed course work will not be permitted to stay and will need to reschedule. Also, for those looking to focus their pre-course study, the results of the pretest give you a good idea of what you should look over in the textbook prior to class.
• Please bring a copy of your current PALS card to class. Alternatively you can email a copy of your card to PALSProgram@childrensnational.org. The American Heart Association requires that any student enrolled in a PALS Renewal has a current PALS card. If you are unable to produce a copy of your current card, please contact the PALS Program BEFORE your class. Anyone who is unable to produce a copy of their PALS card and who doesn’t contact the PALS Program prior to class will not be permitted to stay and will need to reschedule.

Prerequisites:

Current valid PALS Provider card and a completed pre-course work certificate- 2025 materials version.

If your desired course is full or closed for registration:

The Children's National PALS Program allows for a maximum of 3 names to be placed on a waiting list for a course.  Please contact us by email if you would like to have your name added to a waiting list. Our email address: PALSProgram@childrensnational.org

**Student's who arrive more then 15 minutes beyond the start of the course will not be permitted to stay. Students who are running late should call 202-476-4654 on the day of the course.**
